ACR1555U - Set to remove automatic power down
Changing the timeout on the ACR1555U when in HID Bluetooth mode from 60 seconds to never timing out until powered off manually
By default the ACR1555U is set to turn off when it has not been used for 60 Seconds to save the battery. The simply have to make sure it is powered down and powered back up gain to get it activitaed. Depending on how you plan on using the device it can be a little annoying. As such there is a way of tunring off the automated time out and leaving it for you to pwoer down when not required. These instructions explain hwo you change the setting to affect this change.
To configure the ACR1555U you will need the Windows configuration application which is called the ACS Script tool – current version is 5.2. This can be found here on the ACS.COM.HK website:
Once downloaded and the ACR1555U is connected via the USB port and powered on you will be able to connect to the device and the app will show some device details.
The screen will look like the below screen shot. You basically enter [D] E0 00 00 48 04 and then click on the play button I (circled in green). If it has worked OK you will see in the panel blow your command and underneath it the response code of E1 00 00 00 01 04
